"Some Title" ... Man. ... Woman. ... Out of the dark. ...
The reader. ... Nr. 2I like this one, the first one was a little bit not so good, but this one is interesting.
Alexandros.I already linked to this page but I think it's simply worth looking at the latest works he posted. The page itself as well is very beautiful, so have a look. http://www.onedrawingperday.blogspot.com/ Little shadows and outsider.

It is time they knew!Well first the important thing:
...it is time they knew!
It is time the stone made an effort to flower, time unrest had a beating heart. It is time it were time.
It is time.
(Fragment of Paul Celan's Corona)

And now the profane part: Feeds, I know , it's annoying, but I committed an other stupid error which caused that my feed only was available as Atom o.3, so all of you with RSS, I hope it will be redirected by now and if it isn't subscribe once more (Oh my god I'm sorry!!!), I understand if you are tired of it, so am I. I hope I don't lose you as my readers! And yes, I'm hereby outing myself as an "almost-dummy".
RSS & Atom.Hopefully the last of this kind of entries. I changed my "feed-story" so alkind of them point to the same feed-ur, thats why one of the nice icons there disapeared. You can still have both formats RSS & Atom. For those of you who already subscribed there should be no changes, you shoul receive your feed as yoou did before. Agh! I hope everything will be just fine and it will be about drawing from now on...
... Newsletter. From now on my site content is also available as a newsletter. Just fill in your email address below the feed icons and check the "Get email updates" button. Page Rank.Ha, ha-ha! I got a PageRank, isn't that great? You really have to excuse my euphoria, but as I already said, I'm playing around here. Well, I came home and felt the need to look after my baby, which actually needs a lot of care and...guess what, yes I'm rated, I finally got the proof of my existence. Never again talking to my mirror again! No more looking at shop windows in search of my reflection. Isn't that great?! Well if you want to stare at my new PageRank button, similar as I stared at my Google Toolbar when I came home (I couldn't believe it, thought the thing has frozen or something) do so, it's next to the Blogger button. Enjoy ;-)
Clickable header!Hi, for your commodity and because it is fun doing it I decided to create a clickable blog header. So if you are looking at something and want to get back to my main page just click the header to get back. I will soon remove the "Home" link as well as the "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)" link on the bottom of the page. With the second one I 'v got a problem I couldn't resolve yet. Stay tuned... Action-Gimping.Today I downloaded The GIMP after receiving a mail from Adobe telling me that their CS3 no is available for around 850.- Euro, full version of course. Well, I tested The GIMP for some hours and found it very stable or at least didn't I encounter any unexpected behavior (Mac version, all you need is X11, found on the OS X disc) and to me the program seems more intuitive than Photoshop. It is said that it doesn't offer that much possibilities like Photoshop, but who the hell is using more than 80% of it? The help section as well is quite nice organized, without unnecessary visual disturbances and a Font size which can be read easily. I always found it very insulting that a company selling this type of application, offers such a terrible organized and bad looking help section in a program suite as extensive as Photoshop. After the little things I've seen I think it's worth giving it a try, and hey, it's free! By the way, are you using Firefox? Download the new Google Toolbar, SpellCheck is great! Ok then, here is one of the results of my Gimp testing. I call it Action Gimping. ... My new toy.Well, well, well, look at this, my a little bit customized template. I got a new toy, it's quite funny! The only thing I have to do now is to post drawings and trying to finish my course of studys without any accidents... About almost bald men and blogging "As if he still had all the hair on his head"
Ok, I promised to write something about what I'm improving. First of all, seems like I'm a little sluggish, doesn't it? Do I want to say sorry? No, I don't!
I started this blog without knowing what it exactly means। It's not only posting every day, something I'm not doing ultimately, but also getting in touch with the whole world of blogging, templates, codes, search engines, feeds, ranking sites and so on. I mean, I really was a very, very average user, not really a dummy but...For example, I never had the slightest interest in understanding or even writing the most simple snippet of code but...the times they are a changing. This means I'm spending a lot of time in the blogger help section, reading html-tutorials and on sites like Dummies' Guide to Blogger, Blogger Tips and Tricks and Beta Blogger 4 Dummies, the last one is really funny, it's maybe the blog with the worst layout I' ve ever seen, but at least the guy knows what he's talking about and his stuff works. He is maybe the opposite of me. He doesn't seem interested in having a cool page design but in how all the technical stuff would be done. So, in short words what I have done until now: The fact of observing my traffic with Google Analytics was, in a certain way, the beginning of the end. It made my kind of traffic horny. That's why I submitted my page to every search engine I could find and added it to a number of listings and directories such as Technorati (add me to your favorites!) and ontoplist.com (add your site to my toplist!). Im trying to create a toplist with quality art blogs. Seems to be a good thing. Because of them and others I'm two times in the top 10 if you Google-search for " mil veces". One link is death because of...I don't know, but hey! If your searching for " a drawing a day" I'm number 17. Searching with this query you'll find all the others who had a similar idea. They all have more or less the same problem. After a while they stop posting every day. Well I'm not yet famous but as you can see, this is quite a lot of fun to me. And yes, have you seen the two nice little orange buttons in the sidebar? No? Maybe it's time to sign up for my feed with RSS or Atom. I still don't know if the two buttons are necessary but at least it looks nicer than the default subscribe thing at the bottom of the page. In the more or less near future I will, depending on the amount of work I'll have to do for the university, change my layout to something more personal, that better fits the purpose and of course draw and post a little more. I have already created a test-blog to try things out and when there will be something acceptable you will see it on my blog. Back home.I'm back home... He vuelto y estoy muy feliz... Me quedaré!
... Storytelling, preview and numbers. Let me tell you a story about blogging. Today I went to bed on the edge of not posting nothing today, when it came to my mind how the hole thing started - It's about a month ago I created a blog for my class as some kind of social platform, as well as a discussion forum. As a side effect I created my first blog EXISTO! and as a side effect of it this one, wich is, at the moment, my baby. Yes, that's it, my baby, requires almost the same amount of time. For me it's about far more then just drawing, I just can't content myself with an out of the box blog with slightly changed colors and fonts. And of course I want to promote it. But...the thing is, I just hadn't got a clue about almost nothing. It's changing quite fast, but still, when I have solved a problem the next one is popping up. It's virtually like in my real life. And not just that, I always want more. That's good, especially for you, beacause I said tousand days, imagine, toouusaand daayys! I must have been fucking stupid, but well, that's me. In other words, I surely will, step by step, change the layout of my blog towards a real nice thing, matching the topic and all. Of course you have already guessed, that the guy on the chair is me torturing his brain with html and related stuff. That's what happned today after having painted aquarelas for hours and spending even more hours on a stupid little problem I coulden't resolve until now. You see, I'm really suffering for art, and not just for art, as well for you, I mean especially for you, and the blogsphere, and the world... Some numbers at the end: During the last 30 days, the first month of this blog, the page was hit 845 times, whereof 364 where real visits. 42% of the visitors came back one or more times (Source: Google Analytics). Maybe in terms of real world blogging that's nothing, but for me it's a succes. Thanks! His ridiculous shadow. It's getting more and more absurd!
... Carbon, chalk and wine. (and graphite)Which on is your favorite. Please vote I'm very, very curious ;-) Thanks for that!
Boys. This touches my heart, particularly at the moment. I will do more of them, I'm searching for a way to represent this kind of scene in a suitable way. I'll surely work on improoving my tecnical skills to obtain higher liberty at the time of drawing. I also plan to colour this kind of drawing with watercolors, so stay tuned.
... Girl 2.Well this cost me a little more time. Actually I can do things like that but I'm just very slowly and need a lot of time. I like to draw male and and female this way, but I'm asking myself if this is the real thing. It's nice, but it's kind of superficial, isn't it? I don't now if this type of drawing really shows what the girl is all about. She is sexy, for sure, but there could be shown more about her. But there is somthing I especially like about this drawing. During the process I was thinking constantly in icons of Pop-Art and in 1950 pin up girls. I belive I understood how they are made, I mean, I knew it before, but right now I think I really got it claer. I appears to me that they are mostly made by highlighting the most important contrasts as well as some lines to point out the concept of what is "the beautiful girl", the rest of it makes our brain.
... Astonishing discovery. As the title sais, I have made a astonishing discovery toda. But first I want to tell you that in the beginning I planned to post at least twice a week some drawings I'm making for my course of studies. Then I decided not to do it, because these are somehow already existing works. In other words you are getting fresh meat... But back to the discovery: I asserted that, if I'm drafting somthing like what you see below, I'm actually learning a lot. Maybe not tecnically, but about the "scene" itself. In ohter words, by mapping that fast, I certainly commit a lot of mistakes, but as I'm not aiming to create a masterpiece it doesen't hurt me and I can always correct or redo it. In the end I obtain more knowledge about the object I'm investigating, then I do somtimes in a lot more time. In the future, when I plan "serious" works I will allways do this step first. Something else, don't you like this kind of candid and expresive stuff?
Publicity. You might have seen the Samuel Beckett drawing, I have made some prints today that, of course, they are related to the drawing. So if you want to have a look at them, go to my other blog. Here's the printig plate, which is the most suitable part of that stuff to be posted in this blog.
Todays drawing, I dont know what to say... Just give me some time and I will produce something. I have been pretty busy with that printing stuff. Sometimes I think I must have had a moment of fatal mental derangement when I started this project - as if I woulden't have a life besides blogging on daily drawing. Hope I'm getting very, very famous with that lunacy ;-) "My shadow"He is haunting me...
At the beginning I wanted to do something else - I was sitting on the flor, my head above the paper, drawing imaginary lines in the air, to get an idea of what exactly I intented to do, when at once I saw my shadow on the paper. It appeared to me like an icon, I like that and I'm obsessed by shadows.
... Something more academic. My anonimous friend who made a comment about the drawing I posted in "dan to kabrablue" for certain thinks this is a better work than the one he was commenting. Well it isn't. But I'm learning a lot, so I can bear up against that. I'll try to do more of this kind of stuff, unless it's more boring to look at and errors are seen easily.
Saint Jean II.I was thinking about Jean Cocteau. What I really like about him, is that he worked in almost every sector of artistic production - always consindering himself a poet. As well when he was named a member of the Academie Française, in his speech he said he is recieving this honor as a poet.
Of current importance for me are his drawings, mostly made quite fast, showing a drawing style wich expresses a lot of liberty. This means for me, I will try to draw faster and freer, particularly when I'm doing 'academic' stuff.
The reason - El porquéOk, this is the one I had to replace by the drawing of Samuel Beckett, due to camera problems. As by now, I've got a real one, there aren't no more excuses. So here it is, "El Porque". It's quite important to me from a personal point of view - The light at the end of the tunnel...
 ...
A lot of shit...I tried to do something, something didn't work, that means you have to content yourself with a substitute of something. But something will come, for sure...
Last night might be called a desaster, a least in terms of "mil veces" - but as I said, shipwrecking included. Aparently I'm not blushless enough to post the real disasters, I don't know if it is god or bad. I changed the substitute for an other one. I made whit carbon before reading somthing about Mondrian. Saint Jean. This weekwend I'm in Jávea, Spain in the house of some friends. They got quite a lot of Jaen Cocteau lithos as well as some originals! As this is a drawing blog I thoght it might be appropriate to post something of Saint Jean. Here is the first one, tomorrow the rest of it. (Need dayligt to mug it.)
 ...
By the way, thanks to R&R for all time support. dan. to kabrablueHey kabrablue, this is for you. You could like it. It's not from today, I made it in september 2006, or better the worst day of september. Five against one...but no more babble, just, well I call this type of drawing wanking or smirging on paper. O pa ti kabrablue, en español lo llamo pringar o salpicar el papel.
... Part two. Here it is. Seems to me like I will have to write more on weekend's. I simply can't find the time to write at the moment. In general it seems more important to me to post a pic a day than to write a lot of intelligent stuff. But I'll do that as well. Maybe you noticed, that I'm revising and "fixing" the text during the day, sometimes completing or amplifying it. I'll try not to write too stupid things, allthough I have to admit that until now I havent published neither a poem nor teoretical works high quality.
... Process. This for today, tomorrow I'll finish the second one. It's quite sexy drawing it...

... Another one. Hell, doesn't seem to be possible to get a little more organized. But come what may, I will post a drawing a day, as I said. I'm planning to use this blog as well as some kind of grafical diary, where I'll write about my considerations and conclusions concerning what I lern and think about drawing. So itt will be more than just a posted pic a day. For those really interested in the matter this could be kind of an interesting aspect. You all will have to excuse me, that in the first place I'll often commit some stupid ortografical mistakes. I simply prefer to shoot things up to the page and fix them later, than not doing it at all.
Camera trouble.Ok, I can't post todays drawing. It's simply not posible to get a pic of satisfying quality with my mobilphone's cam. I'll have to organize myself a real one. For today, and as an alternative somthing I made some time ago. A portrait of Samuel Beckett. I have captured it with the same cam but for some reason the bad quality is not that obvious.
I'll try to resolve the problem as soon as possible and I surely will make some new fotos of all drawings. Well at least, and besides all the mentioned and unmentioned circumstances, I did not fall off the boat. Would have been a little disappointing. Ok then, until tomorrow... First post, concept...This blog will serve me to publish a drawing a day. This is the move-your-ass blog, as well as the dilettante blog. I want to show it all, at least respective my drawings. It should be somthing like a work in progres project. A documentation of all the stuff, not just the good one - shipwrecking included. I try to write in english, it's the language most of you understand and this way I have to practice a little. Hope to find someone who revises the written content. First pic: bad quality. Sorry made it with my mobile phone.
